


Equine Veterinary Assistant

We are currently seeking an Equine Veterinary Assistant (Full-Time, Seasonal) to join our dedicated team. This seasonal position runs from April to September, with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role for the right candidate.​​​​​

What You’ll Do:
-
Assist our veterinarians by handling, restraining, jogging, and preparing horses for evaluation and treatment.

Set up, maintain, and prepare diagnostic equipment.

Ensure clinic facilities and veterinary vehicles are stocked and well-maintained.

Support administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, welcoming clients, and processing invoices.
​​What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who brings energy, commitment, and a passion for equine care. To succeed in this role, you should possess:

A love for horses and a desire to expand your knowledge of equine health.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to identify opportunities to exceed client expectations.

A friendly and approachable demeanour, with a great sense of humour as a bonus.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.

The ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain clear communication.​​
Requirements:
-
Recent, significant hands-on experience with horses and confidence in handling all types of equines.
-
The physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
-
Capability to jog horses in hand for up to 15 minutes multiple times a day.
